How to Cast VRBX from a Meta Quest Headset
Want others to see what you're experiencing in VR?
Here are three easy ways to cast your VR view to another screen so family, friends, or students can watch along:
- Cast to a TV using Chromecast
- Make sure your TV has a Chromecast device or built-in Chromecast.
- Connect your Quest headset and Chromecast to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Put on the headset and press the Meta (Oculus) button on the right controller.
- Select the Camera icon, then select ‘Cast’.
- Choose the Chromecast device from the list and confirm.
- Cast to a Laptop via Meta Account
- Use or create a Meta account (email-only accounts are fine).
- On the headset, log into the same Meta account if not already signed in.
- On the laptop, open Google Chrome and go to: https://www.meta.com/casting
- Log into the same Meta account in the browser.
- Put on the headset and open the Meta menu.
- Select the Camera icon, then ‘Cast’, and choose ‘Computer’.
- Cast to a Smartphone via Meta App
- Download the ‘Meta Quest’ app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
- Log into the app using the Meta account.
- Make sure the smartphone and the Quest headset are on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Put on the headset, press the Meta button, and go to the Camera icon.
- Choose ‘Cast’, then select your phone from the available devices.
- The cast will appear in the Meta Quest app on your phone.
